'Soars' amid Zika fear Abortion demand
Fears over the Zika virus have contributed to a "huge" increase in the number of women in Latin America wanting abortions, researchers say.
Estimates suggest there has been at least a doubling in requests in Brazil and an increase of a third in other countries.
Many governments have advised women not to get pregnant due to the risk of babies being born with tiny brains.

Do not Push The Boundaries of Political Decency:Warns NDC, Rawlings

The event attracted top functionaries of the party.
Founder of the NDC, former President, Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings took part in today’s celebration and seized the opportunity to address the gathering on events that led to the formation of the party.
He also reminded executives of the party to stick to the core ideals of truth, justice, equality, transparency and accountability and not to gravitate from the ideals that necessitated its establishment.
Former President Rawlings shamed government appointees who are riding on political authority to push the boundaries of political decency instead of doing what is right.
According to him, “the NDC was borne out of the toil and sweat of the ordinary people of Ghana, who spontaneously rose up on June 4, 1979 to put an end to the arrogance of power, massive corruption and the denigration of the people of Ghana for well over a decade.”

The Member of Parliament for Okere in the Eastern region who doubles as the Minority Chief Whip, Dan Kwaku Botwe has been robbed at gunpoint by suspected armed robbers at his Tema residence Thursday night.

Wontumi's detention an arbitrary use of Police Powers - Jinapor
Former aide to Nana Akufo-Addo, Abu Jinapor says the detention of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Bosiako by the Regional Police Command was unreasonable.
According to him, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly called 'Chairman Wontumi', may have been detained for other considerations other than the purpose for which he was caged by the Police.
Chairman Wontumi was held in police custody overnight before granted bail.
He was detained for allegedly assaulting the Member of Parliament for Manhyia North Collins Amankwah and the Constituency Secretary
